The Fleet
IRV flies the airplanes that come in the box with Flight Simulator 98. Every pilot has them, they fly well, and nobody has to hunt for files to join. Paint them any color you like in your head. Ours are teal and sunset orange.
| Aircraft | What we use it for |
| Boeing 737-400 | Mainline service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore and New York |
| Learjet 45 | IRV Executive charters around Florida and the Keys |
| Cessna 182S | IRV Island Hopper to the Bahamas, and all new-hire training |
| Bell 206B JetRanger | Beach patrol and sightseeing along the Indian River |
Ranks
| Rank | Hours | May fly |

| Senior Captain | 150 to 299 | plus 737-400 |

Yes, a First Officer at IRV flies alone. It's a sim. We couldn't find anybody willing to sit in the right seat.

Distances are great circle, in nautical miles, figured by the Chief Pilot with a calculator and an atlas. Even-numbered flights go out from the hub, odd-numbered flights come home.
Route Notes
- KMLB - KATL: Our flagship. Climb out over the Indian River, turn northwest, and try to have your approach briefed before Atlanta gets busy. It's always busy.
- KMCO - KLGA: Our longest leg, about two hours. LaGuardia's runways are short and surrounded by water. Ask anyone who has overshot one.
- KMLB - KEYW: The Sunset Run. Fly it with the time of day set to dusk. You'll thank me.
- KMLB - MYGF and KVRB - MYNN: Over water in a single engine. Plan your fuel, file your flight plan, and no fair setting up the sim so you can never run out of gas.
- IRV 500: Take the JetRanger up and down the river between Melbourne and the Cape. No destination, no hurry. Log it anyway.
