This is the best fireworks picture I got all night, and I'm prouder of it than I should be. A big red and gold one right over the top of the Monument. I held my breath and pushed the button, and for once the timing worked.

The people in front of us were a nice couple from Pennsylvania who had driven down just for this. They'd never been before. I think we'll see them again.
