Who can send
Anybody at Linwood-Tate: students, grad students, the guy who runs the copy center, alumni who miss us. If you're at another school and you found us somehow, go ahead and send too. We'll read it. Linwood-Tate people get first dibs on space, that's all.

What to send
  • Up to five poems.
  • Fiction or essays up to 2,500 words. Shorter is easier to love.
  • Anything that doesn't fit either of those. We took a recipe once. It was a good recipe.
How to send it
E-mail it to [email protected] with the words POEMS or PROSE in the subject line. Paste your work into the body of the message. Please don't send attachments. Half the machines in the Weller lab can't open WordPerfect files and the other half can't open Word files, and we can't tell ahead of time which half we'll be sitting at. Put your name and your year (or your job, or your school) at the top.

If you don't have e-mail, which, come on, you have e-mail, you can leave a printed copy in the envelope taped to the basement lounge door in Hollis. Write your name on every page.

What happens next
All four editors read everything. We meet on Sunday nights and argue. You'll hear from us within about a month either way, and if it's a no, Owen will tell you which line he liked best, because he always has one.

The fine print
We don't pay. We can't pay. We pay in chili at the open mic and in copies of the spring print issue, and in the warm feeling of seeing your name on the Web. You keep all rights to your work. If a real magazine takes something after we run it, tell them we said hi.
