Hello Rams!!
Can you believe it's been twenty years? I can't. Twenty years ago this month most of us were freshmen somewhere, or working at the plant, or sitting in a gas line trying to get to a job interview. Some of us were already married (you know who you are, and congratulations, it lasted!). Now we have kids who roll their eyes at our music, and I just found out my daughter's history class covered Three Mile Island. As history. I had to go lie down. I'm Debbie Wharton, but you knew me as Debbie Hollister, the girl with the Farrah hair and the orange Pinto. I'm a medical technologist at the hospital now, which means I spend all day in a lab and most of my evenings on this reunion. The committee asked who could "put us on the Internet" and my husband volunteered me. He is not on the committee. Please look around, sign up, and help us find the classmates we've lost track of. We graduated 212 on a very hot June night, and so far we have addresses for 169 of you. |

THE WEEKEND
Friday, October 8 · Homecoming Game Rams vs. Hollins Mill, kickoff 7:00. We have a block of seats in the home stands near the 50. Look for the maroon and gold balloons and the people who look vaguely familiar. Afterwards we're taking over the back room at Casey's. Saturday, October 9 · Dinner Dance 6:00 till midnight in the banquet room at the Fireside Inn. Buffet dinner (roast beef, chicken, the works), cash bar, and music by our own Rick "the Rocket" Dombrowski, who promises all the disco you can stand and then some. There will be a memory table, so bring your yearbook, your prom pictures and anything else you dare. Name tags will have your senior picture on them. I'm sorry. It's tradition. Sunday, October 10 · Family Picnic Noon to 4 at the big pavilion in Riverside Park. Bring the kids, bring the spouse, bring a covered dish. The committee will have hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Softball at 2, if anybody's knees still work. The damage: Saturday night is $40 a person. Friday and Sunday are free. Make checks out to "WFHS Class of 1979" and mail them to Linda (her address is on the invitation). If you didn't get an invitation in the mail, that means we don't have your address, so e-mail me right away! |
| Teachers! Mr. Kopp (physics) and Mrs. Delvecchio (senior English) have both said yes to Saturday night. Mr. Kopp says he still has the lab report somebody turned in written entirely in pencil on a paper bag. Mrs. Delvecchio says she has forgiven all of us for Silas Marner. Coach Hartranft will be at the game Friday, and says he'll be looking for the guys who painted the water tower. |
