RAW DEAL
MARCUS'S WWF ATTITUDE PAGE
stone cold · the rock · and everybody else

RAW IS WAR every Monday on USA  ***  SMACKDOWN every Thursday on UPN  ***  UNFORGIVEN THIS SUNDAY!!!  ***  my guestbook is a WAR ZONE, read it below  ***

WHAT'S UP
I'm Marcus, I'm 16, and I'm from Texas, same as Stone Cold. I've been watching every week since 1997, back when half my friends still watched Nitro. Now they ALL watch Raw. I told them so.

My dad says it's all planned out ahead of time. I KNOW, Dad. So is a movie. You still watch movies. That's not the point. The point is these guys are the best athletes and the best talkers on TV, and they do it live every week with no second takes, and some of them get hurt for real doing it.

This page is about the two best: Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. Read it, then go to the guestbook and tell me who's better. (Warning: people have OPINIONS in there.)
TALE OF THE TAPE

STONE COLD THE ROCK
FINISHER:
The Stone Cold Stunner
FINISHER:
The Rock Bottom, and the People's Elbow
ENTRANCE:
The glass breaks and the whole arena loses its mind
ENTRANCE:
Walks out slow, takes his time, and then the eyebrow goes up
HOW HE STARTED:
"Austin 3:16" after winning King of the Ring in 1996. The best-selling wrestling shirt ever. I own two.
HOW HE STARTED:
Rocky Maivia, the smiling good guy. Fans booed him out of the building. Then he got an attitude, took over the Nation, and the rest is history.
GREATEST HITS:
The Zamboni. The cement in Vince's Corvette. The beer truck. Anything at all involving Mr. McMahon.
GREATEST HITS:
Talking about himself like he's somebody else. Telling people to know their role. Every single promo he has ever cut.
BIGGEST WIN:
WrestleMania XIV, beating Shawn Michaels for the WWF title. Mike Tyson was the enforcer!
BIGGEST WIN:
Survivor Series '98, winning the whole title tournament. (With Vince's help. We don't talk about that.)
MARCUS SAYS:
The best wrestler in the world. He doesn't care what anybody thinks and he never backs down from the boss.
MARCUS SAYS:
The best talker in the world. I will admit it. Nobody on the mic is better. Nobody.

WHEN THEY MET
WrestleMania XV, March 1999, in Philadelphia. Austin versus The Rock for the title. Austin won. Then they did it again at Backlash in April, and Austin won again. Those two matches were the best thing I have ever seen on pay-per-view, and I have seen a LOT of pay-per-view (at my cousin Dante's house, his dad orders them all).

Dante is a Rock guy. We have not agreed about anything since 1998.
WHAT'S GOING ON RIGHT NOW
» SummerSlam (August, in Minneapolis): triple threat for the title, Austin versus Triple H versus Mankind, with Governor Jesse Ventura as the special referee. MANKIND won! Then the very next night on Raw, Triple H took it from him. Of course.

» Chris Jericho is here. For weeks there was a countdown clock on Raw and nobody knew what it was. It ran out on August 9, in the middle of The Rock talking, and it was Jericho, from WCW. Coolest debut ever.

» SmackDown is a real weekly show now, Thursdays on UPN, since the end of August. Two nights a week of wrestling. My grades are in danger.

» VINCE MCMAHON won the WWF title last week on SmackDown. Vince! With Stone Cold's help! I'm still trying to figure that one out.

» Unforgiven is this Sunday. I'll post what happened Monday after school.
THE MONDAY NIGHT WAR
Raw is on USA and Nitro is on TNT at the same time. For a long time Nitro was winning. Not anymore. My favorite night was in January when Nitro told everybody on the air that Mankind was going to win the title on Raw, which was taped, trying to make people not watch. Instead everybody flipped over to Raw to see it happen. And he WON. Mick Foley is the nicest guy in wrestling and he deserved it.

OWEN HART
May 7, 1965 – May 23, 1999

We lost Owen at Over the Edge in May. He was one of the best in the ring and everybody who knew him says he was one of the nicest guys in the business. The Raw the next night, when the wrestlers talked about him, was the only time I ever cried watching wrestling.

I don't own the WWF or any of the wrestlers. The WWF does. This is just a fan page.
