MY 1999
CROSS-COUNTRY LOG

every day since the first practice  •  back to Run to the Front

Coach Cota makes everybody on varsity keep a log, in a notebook, every day. I keep mine in the notebook like I'm supposed to and then I type it up here, because I figure if Pre had had a home page he would have put his workouts on it. (He probably would have put his opinions on it too. I'm keeping mine mostly to the front page.)

Races are in yellow. Miles on race days count the warm-up and cool-down. Sundays are usually off, unless they're not.

WEEK 6 TOTAL: 36 MILES

Six weeks, 226 miles. That's the most I've ever run in six weeks, by a lot. Next up: two more invitationals, then the league meet, and then, if our top five stays healthy, sectionals. I'll keep typing.

To the guys on our team who read this: yes, I wrote about the doughnuts. No, I'm not taking it down.
