Spyro is a little purple dragon and he's the cutest one in any game. Gnasty Gnorc turned all the big dragons into crystal statues and stole their gems, and Spyro has to save them all. There are 80 dragons, 12,000 gems and 12 dragon eggs. I got ALL of them. It took me the whole summer.

THE BUTTONS

• X = jump. Press X again in the air to glide. Gliding is how you get almost everywhere, so practice!
• Circle = flame
• Square = charge (you run with your horns down)

SPARX

Sparx is the dragonfly who follows you. He's your health! His color tells you how you're doing:

• Gold = you're all good
• Blue = you got hit once
• Green = you got hit twice, be careful!!
• No Sparx = one more hit and you lose a life

To make Sparx better, flame or charge the little animals running around (like the sheep). A butterfly comes out. Sparx eats it! Also Sparx grabs gems that are close to you, which is really helpful.

FLAME OR CHARGE?

This is the most important tip on my whole page!!! Some bad guys wear metal armor. Flame doesn't work on them, so you have to charge them. Some bad guys are really big. You can't charge them because you just bounce off, so you have to flame them. If one doesn't work, try the other one.

THE WORLDS AND THE BOSSES

You get to the next world by talking to the balloonist. And after you beat Gnasty there's even a bonus level called Gnasty's Loot. I won't tell you what's in it. OK it's a LOT of gems.

MORE TIPS

• When you see a thief carrying an egg, CHASE HIM. They run away super fast and if they get away it's a big pain to try again. Sometimes you have to go around and cut them off.
• Every world has a flight level (Sunny Flight, Night Flight, Crystal Flight, Wild Flight, and Icy Flight). You fly the whole time and you have to hit everything before the time runs out. They're hard but they're SO fun.
• If you can't reach a place, look for a high spot to glide from. There's almost always one.
• Talk to every dragon you free. Some of them tell you secrets.
• If you're missing gems, look behind stuff, on top of stuff, and inside every basket and chest you can find. Sparx can help you spot them.

MY FAVORITES

Favorite level: Cliff Town
Hardest level: Icy Flight (I cried a little but then I beat it)
Favorite boss: Toasty, because he's a sheep
Favorite thing to do: glide off the highest place I can find just to see how far I can go

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage is coming out this fall!!! I already asked for it. Danny says I have to share it. I don't think so.
