Hi! My name is Kathryn and I'm 10. I'm in 4th grade in Illinois. I started collecting Beanie Babies last fall when my Grandma gave me Spot for my birthday. Now I have 23!!! My little sister Alex is 6 and she has 4, but hers mostly live in her bed. My mom helped me make the tables on this page.

Teenie Beanie Babies!!!

On April 11 McDonald's started giving out Teenie Beanie Babies in Happy Meals! They are little tiny Beanies about as big as my hand. There are 10 of them. They were supposed to last for weeks but at the McDonald's by us they ran out in about ONE WEEK. My dad drove me to four McDonald's last Saturday and the last one was out too. Some grown-ups were buying a whole bunch of Happy Meals just to get the Teenies and throwing the food away! My mom says that is a waste and I agree.

I still need PINKY and CHOPS!!! If you have an extra one PLEASE e-mail me. I will trade my extra Goldie for either one. I keep all my Teenies in their bags like you're supposed to (except Snort, because Alex opened him. ALEX!).

They are SO hard to find. When the card shop gets a new box they're all gone the same day, so you have to know when the box comes. (It's Thursdays at ours. Shhh.)

Tag Care

Keep the tags ON! The red heart tag is the swing tag and the one sewn on the bottom is the tush tag. Collectors want the tags perfect, with no bends.

1. Get tag protectors. They are little plastic covers that go over the heart tag so it can't get bent. My mom got me a pack at the card shop.
2. NEVER cut off the tush tag.
3. Don't let your little sister chew on the tags. (I'm not saying who.)
4. Don't put them in the washing machine.
5. Keep them out of the sun so they don't fade.

Our Beanie Club

Me and Jacqueline and Kelly and Chelsea have a Beanie club at recess. Every Friday everybody brings one Beanie from home and we have a parade on the bench by the swings. Nathan asked to join. He has 15 Beanies, which is a lot for a boy, so we said OK.
