Hi! My name is Omar and I am 11 years old. This is my page about Tamagotchis. I got my first one in June for my birthday. It is blue and see-through. My mom had to go to three different stores to find one and she said never again.

If you don't know what a Tamagotchi is, it is a little egg on a key chain with a screen, and there is a pet inside that you have to take care of. It comes from Japan. Tamago means egg in Japanese. You have to feed it and play with it and clean up after it, and if you don't it gets sick and dies. It is harder than it sounds!!!

You can't really name them on the real one, but I call mine Blinky. This is Blinky III. He turned into a Mametchi, which is the best one you can get. You only get Mametchi if you take really good care of it the whole time. I was so happy I ran and showed my dad and he said "that's great, what is it."

Blinky I and Blinky II are in the Tamagotchi Graveyard. R.I.P.

1. Feed it. A meal fills up the hungry hearts. A snack makes it happy but if you give it too many snacks it gets fat and it can get sick.
2. Play the game. It looks left or right and you have to guess which way it will look. If you win, it gets happier. It is also good if it is getting fat.
3. Clean up the poop!!! Gross but you have to. If you leave it there it gets sick.
4. Medicine. If a little skull shows up it is sick. Give it the medicine. Sometimes it takes two times.
5. Lights out. When it goes to sleep at night turn the light off or it will be grumpy.
6. Discipline. If it beeps at you but it isn't hungry or sad, it is just being bad. Scold it. This is how you fill up the discipline bar.
7. Check it a LOT. One day is one year for them so they grow up really fast.

They are not allowed at my school anymore. Too many people were feeding them in class. My teacher took Blinky II in the morning and kept him in her desk until the bell, and when I got him back he was dead. I don't think that is fair because he didn't do anything wrong. Now my mom babysits him while I'm at school. She says she doesn't like it but I saw her play the game.

My cousin has a Giga Pet that is a dog. It is okay but it's not a real Tamagotchi. There is also a baby one and a kitty one that you can get at the drugstore. I want to try all of them but my mom said one pet that beeps is enough.
