HOW TO PLAY: You know those Choose Your Own Adventure books at the library, where you pick
what happens and turn to a different page? This is like that except you CLICK. Read the page, then
pick what you want to do and click it. Some paths are good and some are silly and some are kind of
a trick. There are 7 ENDINGS. Can you find them all?? E-mail me when you do and I'll put
your name in the Hall of Fame at the bottom! RULE: No scrolling ahead!! It's cheating and also it will make no sense. |

It's Saturday and you're up in your grandpa's old treehouse in the woods behind his house. Grandpa built it a long time ago. It has a real window with glass in it, a rope ladder, and a rusty old bell hanging from the roof that nobody is allowed to ring because it's "for emergencies." You're lying on the floor reading comics when you notice one of the boards is loose. You pry it up with your fingers. Underneath, in the dust, is an old brass KEY on a string. There's a little paper tag tied to it. It says: G is for Grandpa!! Or is it?? You climb down the rope ladder to think. That's when you notice something weird. At the very bottom of the big oak tree, down in the roots, there's a tiny wooden DOOR, about as tall as your knee. You have been coming here your WHOLE LIFE and you have never seen it before. Just then a red squirrel jumps down out of nowhere, grabs the tag off the key, and runs off into the ferns with it! What do you do? |

ABOUT THIS STORY I made this up this summer for my little sister Wren because she kept asking me to tell her a story about Grandpa's treehouse, and every time she wanted it to go a different way. So I thought, what if it went ALL the ways. Wren made up the frog. The frog is the best part, she says. (She's right but don't tell her.) The treehouse is real. Grandpa really built it. It really has a bell. The key and the door are made up. I think. I checked the roots and there's no door. But I'm going to keep checking. I'm in 7th grade and I like writing, drawing maps, and my dog Biscuit. This is my first web page. My dad helped me with the tables. |
