HI I'M STEPHEN I am 10 years old and I am in 5th grade. I saw Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace FOUR TIMES. The first time was the day it came out (May 19) with my dad and we got there really early and there was a guy dressed up like Darth Maul in line. The second time was with my mom and my sister. The third time was with my friend Brandon and his dad. The fourth time was just me and my dad again because he said he wanted to see the pod race one more time but I think he really liked the whole thing. The POD RACE is the best part of the movie. Nobody can say it isn't. So when Star Wars Episode I: Racer came out for the Nintendo 64 I begged and begged and my grandma got it for me a few days later. Now I play it every day after homework. (Ok sometimes before homework.) Brandon has it on his computer and he says the computer one is better but he is WRONG. Also Jake Lloyd who plays Anakin is 10 just like me. That's not really about the game but I think it's cool. |

| He is the only human in the whole race and he is just a kid and he WINS. In the game he is really good at everything, not the fastest but not slow either, and he turns good. I always pick him first. When I race as Anakin I pretend I am him and my mom calls me Ani sometimes to bug me. |
| #2 SEBULBA |
| Sebulba is the bad guy and he CHEATS in the movie. He is a Dug and he walks on his hands. I don't like him but his pod is really really fast so he is #2. When you race against him he is the hardest one to beat. He gets mad when you pass him (I think). |
| #3 BEN QUADINAROS |
| Ben Quadinaros has FOUR engines instead of two. In the movie his pod falls apart at the starting line and the engines go flying everywhere and that is the funniest part. In the game you have to unlock him by winning races and his pod is AWESOME. Four engines!!! |
| #4 GASGANO |
| Gasgano has a whole bunch of arms so he can work all the controls at once. That's why he's good. He is kind of weird looking. Corey likes him the best but Corey also likes broccoli so. |
| #5 TEEMTO PAGALIES |
| Teemto has really long engines and he goes FAST in a straight line. When I race as him I crash a lot on the twisty tracks though, so I only pick him for tracks with long straight parts. |
| #6 ALDAR BEEDO |
| He has a track named after him!! (Beedo's Wild Ride.) I won it with Anakin and then I raced it again with Aldar Beedo because I thought he would be extra good at his own track. He wasn't. But he is still cool. |

In the Tournament you race in circuits. You have to do good in one circuit to get the next one. There are four:
1. AMATEUR - The easy one. This is where you start. You have a pretty slow pod and not much money. Boonta Training Course is the very first race and it is on Tatooine like in the movie. 2. SEMI-PRO - Harder. The other racers stop crashing so much and they don't let you pass. I didn't win any of these races yet but I got good enough places to go on. 3. GALACTIC - REALLY hard. The Boonta Classic is the last race in this one and it is the big race from the movie!! I didn't win the other Galactic races, but I WON THE BOONTA CLASSIC. On Tatooine. As Anakin. Just like the movie. I yelled so loud my mom came in to see what happened. 4. INVITATIONAL - It's secret. You have to unlock it. Brandon says he got there and it is the hardest ever but Brandon also said he saw the movie six times and he only saw it three. |

BOOSTING is when you make your pod go super fast for a little while. It is the best thing in the game. BUT your engines get hot when you boost, and if they get too hot they catch on FIRE and you have to slow down or you blow up. So here are my rules:
1. Only boost on the straight parts. If you boost into a turn you WILL hit the wall. 2. Watch how hot your engines are getting. When it gets close to the top, let go. Count to like three and they cool down a little and you can go again. 3. If your engine catches on fire, STOP BOOSTING. Right away. I lost the Malastare 100 two times because I didn't. 4. You can fix your engines while you are racing but it makes you slower. Do it on the easy parts, not when Sebulba is right behind you. 5. Buy better cooling at Watto's. Then you can boost longer. See my Watto's Shop page. 6. Don't hit stuff. Every time you hit stuff your pod gets wrecked a little more. I know that one is obvious but my sister still does it. |
