Christmas 1998
at the Robichauds'
Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Merry Christmas! A little late, I know.

This is for Grandma Betty back home in Mesa, for everybody out in Oregon, and for anybody else who asked me "did you ever get those Christmas pictures back?" Yes. Here they are, finally.

For those who don't know me, I'm Susan, Fred's wife and Kelvin and Nora's mom. I'm a school secretary, so from August to June I don't have time to do much of anything, and this summer I decided to learn how to make a web page. I learned. Slowly.

How these got here, for the record: I didn't finish the roll until the middle of January, so the film didn't get developed until after that. Then in March Fred's brother scanned the prints for me on the scanner at his office and put them on a floppy disk. Then it was spring at school. So it's been a long trip from our living room to your computer screen. The orange numbers in the corner are the date. Our camera does that on its own.

Click on any picture to see it bigger, then use Next to go through them in order. The bigger ones may take a minute to come in if you're on a slow modem, so get a cup of coffee.

Who's who: Fred (that's my husband, the one in the Santa hat and, later, asleep), Kelvin (12 at Christmas, 13 now, and he'd like everyone to know it), Nora (8 then, 9 now), and Fred's mother, Grandma Betty, who flew in for the week. I'm not in any of them. I'm the one with the camera.

Want a real print? If you'd like a copy of any of these to put on the refrigerator, e-mail me and tell me which number, and I'll have reprints made and mail them.

We're already talking about this Christmas. Betty says she's coming again. Fred says he's not buying a Scotch pine. We'll see.

Love to all of you,
Susan, Fred, Kelvin & Nora
