Give a little pet a home on YOUR home page!
[ The Nursery | Adoption Rules | How to Adopt | Happy Homes ]

Hi!!! Welcome to my adoption center! I'm Kristy, I'm 13, and I live in Wisconsin with my mom, my dad and two real cats. I also have 449 pixel pets living on other people's web pages, and counting! I draw all the pets myself in Paint Shop Pro, one tiny dot at a time, zoomed in so far each dot is as big as my fingernail. Each one has two pictures that take turns, so they move! It took me three whole weekends to get the puppy's tail to wag right.

All my pets need good homes on nice web pages. Adopting is FREE. You just have to promise to follow the rules and take good care of them.

DRAGON EGG NEWS!!! All the eggs are going to hatch on Halloween! Everybody who has adopted an egg will get an e-mail with their baby dragon on October 31. I'm still drawing the babies so I can't show you yet. They have wings. That's all I'm saying. NEW!

~ Adoption Rules ~
  1. Give your pet a name! Nobody wants to be called "puppy.gif" forever.
  2. Save your pet onto your own computer and put it up in your own web space. Please don't make your page load it straight from my page. My dad says that's called stealing bandwidth and it could make my pets stop showing up for everybody.
  3. Put a link back to the Adoption Center right under your pet, so other people can adopt one too.
  4. Don't say you drew it. I drew it! It took forever!
  5. Don't change your pet. No purple puppies, no bunnies with sunglasses. They like the way they are.
  6. Only on nice pages. No bad words or mean stuff. My pets are little.
  7. Visit your pet! Pets get lonely if nobody looks at their page. (OK, not really. But visit your page anyway.)
~ How to Adopt ~

Step 1. Pick your pet in the nursery. Put your mouse on it and click the RIGHT mouse button. Choose "Save Image As" in Netscape or "Save Picture As" in Internet Explorer. (On a Mac, hold the mouse button down on the pet until the menu comes up.) Save it somewhere you'll remember, like your desktop.

Step 2. Upload it to your web space. Here on GeoCities.us you do that with the File Manager.

Step 3. Put this on your page. Change the pet file name if yours isn't the puppy, and change Biscuit to your pet's name:

Step 4. Send me your adoption papers by e-mail so I can put you on the Happy Homes list! Copy this into an e-mail, fill it in, and send it to [email protected]:

My first name or nickname:
Which pet I adopted:
My pet's name:
Where my pet lives (my page address):
I promise to follow the rules: YES

Please just your first name or a nickname, NOT your last name or where you live! My mom reads all the pet mail with me, so it might take a couple of days to answer. I answer everybody, I promise.

Under construction
Coming this winter: hamsters and a baby turtle! I'm working on the turtle's legs. Legs are hard.
