Our Family Album Pauline's half of the Nott family home page |
|
Welcome! Nelson and I have been married since 1956, and we have two children, Gail and Thomas, and six grandchildren, who are the reason I wanted a home page in the first place. Gail and her family live in Tucson, and Thomas and Sophia and their four are up in Flagstaff, so we see them all at Thanksgiving and Christmas and in between whenever we can talk Nelson into hitching up the trailer. Here they are, oldest to youngest. Pictures are coming at Thanksgiving, when Thomas brings his new digital camera. He has promised. I have it in writing. |

Rachel
· 16 · Gail's oldest A junior in high school and plays clarinet in the marching band, which means every Friday night this fall she's at a football game in a hat with a feather on it. She got her driver's license in May and drove us to dinner. Grandpa held on to the door handle the whole way. Rachel is the one who signed us up for this home page and taught me to double-click. Every grandmother should have a Rachel. |
|
Brian
· 13 · Gail's youngest Eighth grade. Plays second base and grew three inches since spring, so Gail has bought him new shoes twice. He says he is too old for Pokémon. He also knows the names of all 151 of them, because I asked him to prove it, and he did, at the dinner table, in order. |
|
Benjamin and Patricia
· 11 · Thomas and Sophia's twins Sixth grade, the both of them, in different classrooms this year for the first time, which they report is "weird but OK." Ben loves Grandpa's trailer more than anyone alive except Grandpa, and wants to know how old you have to be to pull it. (Grandpa says forty.) Patty loves horses and books. She has read the new Harry Potter book twice in the ten days since it came out and has started on it a third time, out loud, to Robyn. |
|
Robyn
· 8 · Thomas and Sophia's third Third grade. Our artist. Robyn sends us a drawing in every letter, and our refrigerator door is hers entirely. The latest is the Airstream with all of us in it and a sun with sunglasses on. Grandpa says she got the wheels exactly right. |
|
Noel
· 5 · the baby, and don't call him that Started kindergarten in August and has informed us that he can read. He can read "stop" and "Noel" and the name of his cereal, which is a fine start. He asked whether Grandma's page has any games on it. It doesn't, sweetheart. Maybe next year. |
