I write C for a living and Perl for fun. Draw your own conclusions about my idea of fun.
Born in Madras, which is now Chennai. I did not move; the name did. Came over in 1992 for a master's degree. Stayed for the jobs and the weather, in that order.
My parents still live in Chennai. They call Sunday morning, which is Sunday night for them. Every call covers three questions: Have you eaten. Are you married. Why not. Answers: yes, no, see todo.txt.
I follow cricket, which in Santa Clara means reading scores on rec.sport.cricket at two in the morning. India did not reach the World Cup semifinals this summer. They did beat Pakistan. My father considers the tournament a success.
This page has no graphics because a homepage does not need graphics. The blue bar at the top is not mine. The counter at the bottom is not mine either, but I have made my peace with it.
