Paper, steel and paint. The first one is the quietest tile I've made, and the only one in the library you could put words straight onto if you had to.

Dark brown serif type sitting straight on the parchment, no table at all. It works here because the tile is pale and soft. Keep the words big.

Charcoal plate, silver words. Looks like a dashboard.

The raised bumps are staggered so the rows don't line up in stripes. Truck people noticed. Truck people notice everything.



White table, grape words. The swirl stays pretty around the edges.

Based on a sheet of marbled endpaper from an old book I found at a flea market. The real one had coffee stains. I left those out.

ON THE DRAWING TABLE
Brushed aluminum (the diamond plate's quieter cousin), cork board, and a terrazzo floor for the retro people. And yes, I've heard you, the dozen of you who want plaid.
