¡Hola! If you have been living under a rock: the Macarena is a song by Los del Río, two gentlemen from near Seville, Spain, who have been singing together since the sixties. The song was a hit in Spain and all over Latin America first, and then two Miami guys called the Bayside Boys made a dance remix with some English parts, and it took over the whole country. Miami, baby! We had it first! And no, I'm not going to put the words up. Buy the tape! |

HOW TO DO THE MACARENA One move per beat. Say it in your head: arm, arm, flip, flip...

MACARENA IN THE NEWS
When the Democrats had their convention in Chicago in August, the delegates did the Macarena right there on the floor, on TV. My dad, who says he doesn't dance, watched it and said "well, now it's over." It is NOT over, Papi. It's still number one. |
