I'm Courtney, I'm 15, and I live in Ohio, which is about as far from the ocean as you can get. Which is maybe why I love this show so much!! I've watched every episode since the very first one in January 1998 except ONE (the power went out, a friend taped it for me, it counts). My mom lets me stay up if my homework is done. It is always done on Dawson night. This is my page about the show and the people in it, and about the question my best friend and I argue about every single day at lunch. Scroll down!! |

DAWSON LEERY James Van Der Beek Wants to be the next Steven Spielberg. Has E.T. posters all over his room. Makes movies with his camcorder. Sweet, but he thinks about everything TOO much, and he always thinks life should go like a movie. |
JOEY POTTER Katie Holmes Lives across the creek with her big sister Bessie. Rows over and climbs the ladder up to Dawson's window. Smart, sarcastic, and has been through a lot with her mom and dad. My favorite girl on TV. |
|
PACEY WITTER Joshua Jackson The funny one. His dad is the sheriff and his whole family treats him like a screwup, but he's the most loyal friend on the show. Worked at the video store with Dawson. |
JEN LINDLEY Michelle Williams The new girl from New York who came to live with her Grams next door to Dawson. Everybody thinks she's wild but she's actually really nice. I think she gets a bad deal. |
|
JACK & ANDIE McPHEE Kerr Smith & Meredith Monroe Brother and sister, new in season 2. Andie is super organized and super cheerful and I love her with Pacey. Jack is quiet and a really good writer, and what he went through this year was so brave. |
GRAMS Mary Beth Peil Jen's grandma. Very strict and very religious, and she and Jen fight a lot, but you can tell she loves her. She kind of reminds me of my grandma, except my grandma plays bingo. |

Okay. Everybody says Joey and Dawson are soul mates. They've been best
friends since they were little, they finally kissed at the end of season 1,
and the whole show is kind of built around them. My best friend Amber says
it's Dawson or nobody.
BUT. Hear me out. I think Joey and PACEY would be better. Here's why:
Amber says I only think this because I like Pacey. That is PARTLY true. But I also think Joey needs somebody who isn't trying to direct her life. I think maybe the most important thing is Joey should pick Joey first, then worry about boys. (My mom read this and said that is the smartest thing on the whole page.) Vote! E-mail me "DAWSON" or "PACEY" and I'll post the score. So far: Dawson 41, Pacey 58, and one person voted for Grams. I respect that. |

*~* Crush Corner *~* Joshua Jackson. That's it. That's the corner. Okay also: he was Charlie in The Mighty Ducks!!! My little brother has the tape and I made him watch it with me twice. He was so little!!! |

*~* Why I Love This Show *~* ♥ They talk like they swallowed a dictionary. Nobody I know talks like that. I kind of wish they did. ♥ The theme song, "I Don't Want to Wait" by Paula Cole. I have the CD single and I play it before every episode to get in the mood. ♥ Joey climbing the ladder. Every time. ♥ It was made by Kevin Williamson, who wrote Scream. (I'm not allowed to see Scream. Amber told me the whole thing.) ♥ Fun fact: it's filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, not in Massachusetts at all!! ♥ It's about kids our age trying to figure things out, and it doesn't treat them like babies. |

*~* My Fave Moments *~* 1. The kiss at the end of season 1. I screamed so loud my dad came in. 2. Joey in the beauty pageant. When she walked out, everybody's mouth just fell open. 3. Pacey and Andie, all of it. He's so sweet with her. 4. Jack being brave about who he is, and Jen being the one who stood up for him. 5. Pacey being Pacey. Every episode. Any episode. |
