Here's how the cheats work in GoldenEye, since people keep asking. You don't type in a code. You beat a level in single player, on a certain difficulty, faster than a certain time. Do that and the cheat shows up in the Cheat Options on the menu, and you can switch it on.

These are the ones we've gone after. There are more. The last column is who in the apartment has it on their save. We have one cartridge, so it's really who got it first, and there has been some yelling about that.

There are two extra levels after Cradle. Beat every level on Secret Agent and you get Aztec. Beat everything on 00 Agent, Aztec included, and you get Egyptian. Beat Egyptian on 00 Agent and you unlock 007 mode, where you set the enemies' health, accuracy, reaction speed and damage yourself. Q set them all to the lowest setting and played Facility like a tourist. Lena set them all to the highest and made it about four rooms.

• "You can play as the other Bonds." Every week somebody at work swears there's a button code for it. We have tried every one of them. Nothing. If you've actually done it, on a real cartridge, with no GameShark, e-mail us and tell us how and we'll put your name up here in lights.
• "You can drive the tank in multiplayer." No. The tank is in the Streets level in single player, and that's it. Hector wants this more than he's wanted anything.
• "There's a way to turn off Oddjob being short." Doesn't matter. See rule 1.

• Play the level normally a couple of times first. You can't go fast until you know where everything is.
• Don't fight anybody you don't have to. Run past.
• Only do the objectives your difficulty needs. Agent has fewer than 00 Agent.
• Check your time on the results screen after every try. Knock off a few seconds at a time.
• Try it at 1 a.m. when the apartment is quiet and nobody is saying "are you almost done".
