Our Story  ~  The Wedding Party  ~  The Big Day  ~  The Pictures  ~  Thank You

Welcome to our wedding page! Ever since June 19th everybody has been asking for pictures, and Ramon's aunt in Tucson and my cousins in Germany (Army) couldn't make it, so I figured I would put the best ones where everybody can see them at once. I'm still learning how to do this, so please be patient with me. I'm Alisa (Adrian) Pulliam, and yes, I'm still practicing the new signature.

Our Story
We met at my friend Angelica's Packers party in October 1996, the year they went all the way. Ramon came with a friend of a friend, spilled an entire bowl of cheese dip on my new shoes in the third quarter, and spent the rest of the game apologizing. He called me the next week to ask if the shoes were okay. (They were not. I married him anyway.)

He proposed on Christmas Eve 1997 in my parents' living room, after church, in front of the tree, with my whole family pretending not to watch from the kitchen doorway. My dad knew. My mom did not know, and she still hasn't forgiven my dad.

I'm a payroll clerk at one of the paper mills here in Green Bay, and Ramon is an electrician. We just moved into our first apartment together on the west side, about eight blocks from the church where I was baptized and where we got married.

The Big Day
Friday, June 18. Rehearsal at St. Florian's, then the rehearsal dinner at the Pine Hollow Supper Club: Friday fish fry, of course. Ramon's parents hosted. Perch or cod, and Uncle Bradley had both.

Saturday, June 19. The ceremony was at 2:00 at St. Florian's, the big old brick church on the west side that my family has belonged to since before I was born. It was sunny and warm, and that church has no air conditioning, so everybody was fanning themselves with the programs. Then 240 of our closest friends and relatives came out to the Laurelwood Banquet Hall in Ashwaubenon for dinner and dancing until midnight.

Our colors were hunter green and ivory. Our first dance was "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain, and I made it through the whole song without crying, which I was not expecting. My Uncle Bradley led the chicken dance, which is a tradition in our family and not optional.

Sunday, June 20. We left for a week in Jamaica. It was beautiful. Ramon got the worst sunburn of his life on the first day, and we came home on the 27th tan and broke and very happy.

The Pictures
Click on any little picture to see it bigger, with the story behind it. The first four are proofs from our photographer (a studio in De Pere), put here with their OK. We ordered the real album in August and it should be ready in October. The last four came from the 24 disposable cameras we put out on the tables at the reception, which Ramon and I dropped off at the drugstore the day we got back from Jamaica. There were some good ones and a lot of thumbs.

I scanned everything on the scanner Ramon gave me for my birthday. Each big picture takes a minute to come in on a 28.8, so go get a cup of coffee!

Thank You
To Mom and Dad, for everything, and for not saying a word about the budget after March. To Ramon's mom and dad, for the fish fry and for raising such a good guy. To Susan, for sewing me back into my dress after the chicken dance. To everybody who came, and everybody who sent a card from far away. The thank-you notes are going out, I promise. I am on the letter M.
