CLAN SOULSTONE
a Diablo clan on Battle.net · keeping the candles lit in Tristram until Diablo II
†   †   †

The Clan  ·  The Law  ·  The Roll  ·  Hunting Nights  ·  The Waiting Room

The cathedral in Tristram has been our second home since the spring of 1997. Clan Soulstone started as three friends from work who figured out that dying in the Catacombs was more fun together. Two and a half years later there are eleven of us, spread from Maine to Oregon, and we still meet in our channel on Battle.net most nights of the week.

We play clean. We play together. We do not take strangers' word for anything. If you've spent any time in public games on Battle.net, you understand why.

The Law of the Clan

  1. No hacked items. No duplicated items. If an item has numbers on it that the game can't make, it doesn't come into a clan game. If a stranger offers you a Godly Plate of the Whale for nothing, it isn't a gift. It's a hack, and it could get your character in trouble with the rest of us.
  2. No trainers, no editors, no "helpers". Every character in this clan was leveled the long way.
  3. No player killing in clan games, unless both people agree beforehand and it's in a game made for it. Outside the clan, we don't hunt players. We hunt Diablo.
  4. Drops are shared. Whoever can use it best gets it. If two people can, they roll for it in chat. Nobody runs off with the loot while everyone else is still fighting.
  5. Private games only for clan nights. The name and password go up in the channel.
  6. Help the new ones. Every member gets walked through the Butcher their first time, whether they need it or not.

Levels are for each member's main character. Most of us have a few more characters on the side. Gravewright has nine, and he insists they're all different.

Hunting Nights

Tuesday: Normal and Nightmare, for the younger characters. Anyone under level 30 gets priority.
Thursday: Hell difficulty, level 30 and up. We start at the stairs and go down together, and we don't leave a member behind on level 15, no matter how bad it gets.
Sunday: whatever people feel like. Usually that means somebody new wants to see the Butcher.

All nights start around 9:00 Eastern in our channel. Say hello when you come in. Say goodbye when you leave. It is not complicated.

Joining

We're choosy, because we've been burned. Come find us in the channel, tell us about yourself, and come along on a Sunday. If after a few weeks we all like playing with you and we've never seen you carry anything funny, we'll ask you to take the tag. Don't ask us. We'll ask you.

Diablo is Blizzard's. Our characters are ours, and we earned every level.
