Clover Ridge Go-Getters 4-H Club · back to our main page Here is every ribbon our members brought home, as best I could get them from the fair book, the Extension office and a lot of phone calls. If I missed you or got something wrong, e-mail me and I'll fix it right away! Members are listed by first name only because that's what the Extension office asks us to do on the Internet. How the ribbons work, for our new families: 4-H uses the Danish system, so every exhibit is judged against a standard and not against the other kids. Blue means it met the standard really well, red means good with some things to work on, white means it needs more work. The judge picks the champions from the blues, and the purple is for champions. Exhibitors also get to talk with the judge (conference judging), which is honestly the best part.
Clover Kids who showed (participation ribbons for all): Emma (bucket calf, Oreo), Ben and Grace (rabbits, Thumper and Mr. Wiggles), Carter (a Lego barn), Lily (a painted birdhouse), and Owen (a jar of very interesting rocks). Final count: 4 champion purples, 17 blues, 5 reds and 1 white from 12 members, plus six very proud Clover Kids. Not bad for a club that meets in a church basement!
