OK, Netscape 4 and Java do not get along. I admit it. Edit, Preferences, Advanced, uncheck Enable Java. No more crashing. Also no more Java games, but those take four minutes to load anyway.

I build web sites for a living. My clients' customers use both browsers, plus AOL, plus WebTV, plus a few Macs, and my job is to make every page work in all of them. "Best viewed with" just tells half your visitors to go away. You clearly know your HTML. Why not make the page work everywhere and brag about that instead?

...I have been thinking about this one for a week. I'm not saying you're right. I'm saying I'm thinking about it.

Ma'am, it's the program you're reading this in right now! Look at the very top of the window. If it says Netscape, congratulations. If it says Microsoft Internet Explorer, that's OK, it came with your computer, it's not your fault. If it says America Online, that's a whole other page.
