Year Three is shorter, and darker, and a good deal of it takes place with water over your head. Manny has finally tracked Meche to the end of the line: a coral mine at the Edge of the World. Domino runs it, and Domino is expecting him. |
◆ PASSENGER ADVISORY: STORY AHEAD ◆ Highlight to read. Big story turn. Meche is a prisoner at the mine, and she isn't the only one. The souls working the coral are people who should have gotten tickets and didn't. Domino has been keeping them out here, out of sight. This is where you find out how big the ticket business really is, though not yet who's at the top of it. |
1. Meche's stockings.
Travel Tip: You need her stockings, and you are much too much of a gentleman to ask. Meche is a smoker, and she isn't watching her ashtray. Accidents happen.
2. Making a trade.
Travel Tip: There's somebody down here who'll swap tools for odd things. Very odd things. Things like stockings.
3. The crane and the conveyor.
Travel Tip: The machinery is running the wrong way for you. Turn it around. Then think about what a crane is for besides lifting coral.
4. The locked vault.
Travel Tip: Meche is behind a door that's locked up tight. You've been collecting tools all year for a reason.
5. Domino.
Travel Tip: He's got the bigger weapon and the better position. But he isn't alone down there, and whoever is with him has a very large, very sensitive eye.

◆ PASSENGER ADVISORY: STORY AHEAD ◆ Highlight to read. End of Year Three. Domino gets exactly what he's had coming since Year One, and no, you won't be sorry. Manny, Meche and Glottis set off together at last, which is the most sentimental thing I'm going to say on this page, so enjoy it. |
