What is the Front Porch WebRing?

The Front Porch WebRing is a ring of friendly, family-style personal home pages. You know how on a summer evening everybody sits out on the front porch and waves at the neighbors going by? That's what we're after. Folks sharing their families, their pets, their hobbies and their hometowns, and stopping by to visit each other.

Bob and I started the ring in 1998, after I kept finding such nice pages here on GeoCities.us and wanted a way to hook them all together. Every site on the ring is a personal home page, and every one is family-friendly, so go ahead and let the kids click along.

How it works: At the bottom of every member page you'll find the Front Porch WebRing box. Click Next to go to the next home on the ring, Prev to go back one, or List Sites to come back to this page. The ring goes all the way around in a circle, so you can't get lost. After the last site, you're right back at the first one!

How to Join

We'd love to have you on the porch! Here's all you need to do:

Have a personal home page. Your family, your pets, your hobbies, your school or your team. The Front Porch is for folks, not businesses.
Keep it family-friendly. Nothing you wouldn't want your kids (or your grandma) to see. We visit every site before it goes on the ring.
E-mail the ringmasters at [email protected] with your page's title, its address (URL), your name, and a sentence or two about your page.
Paste in the ring code. Once we've had a look, we'll write back with the ring code. It's the little Front Porch WebRing box, just like the one at the bottom of this page, with your Prev and Next links already filled in. Copy it and paste it into your page near the bottom, and you're on the ring!

Please be patient with us. Bob and I both work, and we do the ring in the evenings after the kids are in bed. We usually answer within a week.
