Privacy Policy

GeoCities.us respects the privacy of our members and visitors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect. When you become a Homesteader, we ask for your name, e-mail address, age, ZIP code and a few of your interests. We also keep ordinary Web server logs, which record the address of the computer that visited, the browser used and the pages viewed.

How we use it. We use your registration information to run your account, to send you important notices about the service and, if you choose, our weekly newsletter. We share only combined statistics with advertisers, such as how many members live in a region. We do not sell or rent your e-mail address to anyone.

Cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Our advertising partners may also use cookies to measure how often an ad is shown. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Member Center may not work.

Children. Children under 13 must have a parent's permission to become a Homesteader. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without that permission, and parents may ask us to delete their child's information at any time.

Your home page is public. Anything you put on your home page can be seen by anyone on the Web. Please think carefully before posting your address, phone number or other personal details.

Security. Your password is sent over a secure connection when you sign in to the Member Center. Never give your password to anyone, even if they say they work for GeoCities.us. We will never ask you for it.
